Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to customers and support store leaders in all facets of retail operations to ensure the store operates at optimal performance.
• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and foster a friendly atmosphere to enhance their experience.
• Take initiative to support store operations, including operating equipment and cash register, ensuring speed of service and accuracy of transactions.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store.
• Seasonal positions require work during peak periods (e.g., semester starts and ends), occasional weekends, and flexibility in scheduling during the school year.
• Routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Physical Demands

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay: Seasonal Bookseller pay rate: $16.75/hr

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Excellent attitude with willingness to learn and ability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year, including peak periods.
