Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Director to lead our procurement efforts at The Resort at Pelican Hill. This role plays a critical part in managing the purchasing of supplies and products that elevate our guest experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a comprehensive approved vendor list across all product categories.
• Ensure timely and efficient procurement of supplies while adhering to established procedures.
• Generate accurate reports and presentations to inform management decisions.
• Maintain compliance with all brand systems, policies, and legal regulations.
• Create and implement an effective Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order system for the property.
• Conduct regular inventories and ensure accurate administration of all invoices, following proper bookkeeping procedures.
• Oversee the inspection of all deliveries to maintain product quality and accuracy.
• Enforce control procedures for goods entering through purchasing and receiving areas, maintaining sanitation standards.
• Provide training to staff on procedures, equipment handling, and chemical usage.
• Foster a collaborative team environment through open communication and employee feedback.

Candidate Profile:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Purchasing or a related field, or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major.
