Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Part Time - Assistant Store Leader to enhance our team and ensure smooth store operations, exceptional customer service, and robust team development. This role is fundamental to our success, and you will have the opportunity to make a real impact. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
  • Engage positively with customers, addressing their questions and concerns with a friendly demeanor.
  • Organize merchandise transfers from the delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor while ensuring seasonal areas of the store are well-maintained.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures efficiently.
  • Implement corporate directives, including processes related to merchandise management and communication enhancements.
  • Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures to attract customers.
  • Support in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, record keeping, and managing loss prevention.
  • Ensure a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom that align with company standards.
  • Safeguard company assets, especially the store cash.
  • Enforce safety guidelines and ensure adherence to company policies among all associates.
  • Help supervise, train, and develop store associates alongside the Store Manager.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and respectful environment through friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leadership.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking bathrooms and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the store.

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; the ability to read and interpret operational directives is required.
  • Previous store management experience in a retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet the demands of walking, standing, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive lifting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are required.
