Disaster Recovery Analyst

Location: Albuquerque, NM

The Disaster Recovery Analyst will develop and maintain Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Business Recovery Plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the development and implementation of advance arrangements, plans and procedures to ensure the IT services supporting critical business functions can resume within a predefined time frame in event of a disaster with the minimal loss of data.
• Support the development of the overall testing strategy and objectives; as well as test exercises, including scope, required technical and business resources.
• Work with the government to develop the Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
• Support the documentation and formulation of the end-to-end technology recovery plans with IT teams, i.e. infrastructure, network, application and security.
• Schedule, plan and coordinate test exercises to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal policies and procedures.
• Support the IT recovery process, report results from the validation exercises, and identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
• Provide coverage 24/7/365 on an on-call status with other Disaster Recovery Analysts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree or combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3+ years experience with additional experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Business Recovery Plans.
• 5+ years of related technical experience in supporting, managing, defining and architecting Disaster Recovery.
• Background check.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analysis, and business impact analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Business Recovery Plans in its relation to the Federal government and its applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to obtain an IA drivers license which will allow operation of a government vehicle.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work on call 24/7/365.
